Rivers Wet Weather Sewer Conference, September 29-30. This annual
conference is designed to educate and share lessons learned for
overcoming
the wet weather problems that have plagued the Pittsburgh region
for decades.
Key audience: Municipal officials,
engineers, managers and public works directors seeking information
and resources
to help them address the wet weather sewage and storm water overflow
issue throughout the Pittsburgh region.. Each year, the conference
attracts more than 350 participants.
The 2009 conference agenda will include educational
sessions on topics such as: alternatives analysis, including
green infrastructure, sustainable O&M approaches, cost analysis
tools and models and sewer system regionalization issues.
Exhibits: Dozens of exhibitors
will display and demonstrate technologies and
services to help communities find better, more
cost-effective ways of rehabilitating and sustaining
the municipal collection sewer systems throughout
the region.
Registration fee: $65
on or before September 24; $70 after September
24/on-site registration. Fee
includes
registration, handouts, continental breakfast, refreshments and
