10th Anniversary 3 Rivers Wet Weather Sewer Conference

Make your plans now to participate in the 10th Anniversary 3 Rivers Wet Weather Sewer Conference, October 1-2. This annual conference is designed to educate and share lessons learned for overcoming the wet weather problems that have plagued the Pittsburgh region for decades.

Key audience: Municipal officials, engineers, managers and public works directors seeking information and resources to help them fix the region’s sewage and stormwater overflow problems. Each year, the conference attracts more than 350 participants.

The 2008 conference schedule includes:

  • Keynote Speaker: Gordon Garner, who served as Executive Director of the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District for 18 years

  • Educational sessions on green solutions, flow monitoring, asset management, facilities planning, feasibility studies and much more

Exhibits: 54 exhibitors will display and demonstrate technologies to help communities find new, cost-effective ways of restoring aging and deteriorating sewer systems that often experience sewage and stormwater overflows during wet weather.

Registration fee: $60 on or before September 26; $65 after September 26/on-site registration. Fee includes registration, handouts, continental breakfast, refreshments and lunch for both days.
