STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
In an effort to address stormwater management, 3 Rivers Wet Weather
is promoting demonstration projects that address the relationship
between stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) and wet weather
flow management in combined and sanitary sewered areas. Projects
will range from on-lot storage and pollution prevention to public
education and participation. 3RWWDP is also assisting the municipalities
of Allegheny County in meeting the regulatory mandates of the
U.S. EPA Stormwater Phase II Rule.
In March 2005, 3RWW placed a stormwater
public education ad in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Pittsburgh
Tribune Review to help all municipal
separate storm sewer system permittees in Southwestern Pennsylvania
meet their public education requirement.
