Community Involved: Collier Township Municipal Authority

 

Project Goal: To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of rehabilitating commercial laterals. An operation and maintenance program will also be developed to address the accumulation of fats and greases from food facilities and the impact on sewer capacity.

 

Project Summary: Rehabilitation of a section of the Collier Township collection system that is connected to the Chartiers Creek Interceptor. Rehabilitation includes manhole lining, plugging of unused house lateral connections, pressure grouting of the first eight feet of house lateral connections and cured-in-place lining of the eight-inch collector pipe after making open cut alignment corrections.

Total Cost: $229,619

3 Rivers Wet Weather Grant Award: $79,065
