Community Involved: Franklin Park

 

Project Goal: To develop a framework for evaluating the asset value of a sewer system for the purpose of transferring the responsibility of ownership to another entity.

 

Project Summary: Determine the feasibility of turning over ownership and maintenance responsibility of two sewer lines within Franklin Park Borough to the McCandless Township Sanitary Authority. Legal, institutional and financial factors along with other issues will be examined to facilitate the disposition of the lines. Technical examination will include documenting the existing condition of the lines and a determination of costs for any needed repairs.

Total Cost: $105,000

3 Rivers Wet Weather Grant Award: $56,115

Start Date: January 2002

Completion Date: Fall 2004
