Lower Lowries Run Interceptor I/I Assessment/Reduction

 

Communities Involved: Lowries Run Joint Operating Committee, Ross Township, McCandless Township Sanitary Authority

 

Project Goal: To determine the effectiveness of utilizing a trenchless technology (cured-in-place) for rehabilitating a multi-municipal trunk sewer.

 

Project Summary: This project will investigate and quantify inflow/infiltration sources along an inter-municipal trunk sewer, and will provide a procedural template for evaluating the relative amount of inflow/infiltration reduction achievable by sewer line rehabilitation. Rehabilitation will include using trenchless cured-in-place method and analyzing the efficacy of the technology.

3 Rivers Wet Weather Grant Award: $270,028
