Project Goal: To compare the cost and effectiveness of trenchless pipe bursting technology with conventional open trench rehabilitation and document the reduction in environmental impact.

Project Summary: The project involves replacing sewer lines with pipe bursting and open trench technology and constructing manholes and service reconnects. Pipe bursting will replace and upsize a leaky sewer, while minimizing the impact on wetlands, a stream corridor and existing housing structures. The project will compare the cost and effectiveness of pipe bursting with open trench replacement.
