Rehabilitation Projects

Community Involved: Shaler Township

 

Project Goal: To eliminate sewer line inflow and infiltration and reduce the occurrence of sanitary sewer overflows, and to document the impact of sanitary sewer rehabilitatoin on the natural landscape in areas of construction.

 

Project Summary: CCTV inspection and evaluation were employed to determine the segments of sewer line that were sources of inflow and infiltration, and the type of rehabilitation that was required in each area (cured-in-place liner, pipe bursting or open-cut replacement). A botanical inventory and pre- and post-construction aerial photographs were employed to determine the impact of the construction on the natural landscape.

Total Cost: $567,393
