Plants are a key component of rain garden and bioretention systems, providing evapotranspiration of stormwater, anchoring the soil, and making the stormwater management feature an attractive amenity.   This workshop focuses on planting and maintenance techniques to help ensure that your plants are healthy and maintenance systems are simple and practical.  Jay will share some lessons learned and strategies for lush, beautiful bioretention projects. 

Audience: Municipal staff (public works, engineers) & landscape and other stormwater professionals

Jay has a B.S. in Landscape Contracting from Penn State and is a Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturalist.
